I had a Gyramor once that was similar in appearance but somewhat different. I bought it because the tires were in the center of the mowing surface and it could traverse terraces without scalping one side and missing the other. It had a fixed wheel height ratchet which I prefer over hydraulic as you don't have to worry about hyd bleed down or not getting it set to the same point. Course that was before I discovered the rings you put on the shaft of the cylinder to set the drop down distance......never had Farming 101....Hard Knocks University was my farming education.
Mine had a large stump jumper with short blades and ran at a very high speed making it hum. I paid $700 for mine from a used dealer which I thought was about $200 high but I got the "green" sales pitch and it didn't have a lot of wear. Besides I had been looking for a cutter to hop over my terraces for a long time. $250-300 is what he probably paid for it at auction but he had to find it, get it to his lot so I could rubberneck while driving by and see it; maybe clean it up a little.
I don't mind him making a profit. I don't know where to go and find such at auction and get it home. He's there when I need him.
