Help ID Strange Deere Rotary Cutter

Been looking for a pull type shredder to clean up some pasture with. Only about 6-7 acres, so don't need much.
Found an old Deere, about 51/2' wide, rock shaft and wheels at the rear, hydraulic lift. Has a double set of short swinging cutter blades attached to a wide center bar, that straddle these dividers coming off the front corners of the deck. Weird hitch that looks like it attaches to mounts similar to a modern 3 point, with a screw leveling device on it. PTO shaft on a pivoting pillow block,
Kind of running through a tunnel in top of deck.
Runs smooth and quiet, and in decent shape, other than pillow block bearing is out, but can't find an ID tag anywhere on it.
Any idea what model? Looked at 127, and this looks earlier to me.
Are they any good? Parts available yet?

Does it look like this one??? This is a JD 207 rotary cutter. They started making them in 1957. They are a good rugged cutter. They are heavy and have a crude hitch. Just keep the blades sharp and balanced an it will last a long time.

Thanks guys! It's a 207. Tires are shot, no Hyd cylinder on it, otherwise decent shape. Any idea on a fair price? Parts availability?
Last few similar machines I have seen sell we're either destroyed, or like new, so hard to know prices. I was thinking around $250? Am I in the ballpark?

I told my neighbor a few weeks ago to ask $300 for hers and she got it, so your 250 sounds good. I did put new bearings and seals in hers afew years ago along with new blades. Was in the same shape as JDSeller pictured just the wheels were like the factory pics that were posted.chris

I had a Gyramor once that was similar in appearance but
somewhat different. I bought it because the tires were in the
center of the mowing surface and it could traverse terraces
without scalping one side and missing the other. It had a fixed
wheel height ratchet which I prefer over hydraulic as you don't
have to worry about hyd bleed down or not getting it set to the
same point. Course that was before I discovered the rings you
put on the shaft of the cylinder to set the drop down
distance......never had Farming 101....Hard Knocks University
was my farming education.

Mine had a large stump jumper with short blades and ran at a
very high speed making it hum. I paid $700 for mine from a
used dealer which I thought was about $200 high but I got the
"green" sales pitch and it didn't have a lot of wear. Besides I had
been looking for a cutter to hop over my terraces for a long
time. $250-300 is what he probably paid for it at auction but he
had to find it, get it to his lot so I could rubberneck while driving
by and see it; maybe clean it up a little.

I don't mind him making a profit. I don't know where to go and
find such at auction and get it home. He's there when I need
him.
