We have a john deere 510 baler that is in great shape. New bearings last year, I baled about 250 bales this year and it did a great job, but I want net wrap. The funds aren"t really here this year for me to buy a different baler, so heres my question. I know everyone is gonna say it cant be done, but I think im gonna try. Can you retrofit a previously twine only baler to net wrap? I want to get it into the shop and compare to my neighbors two balers and see if it is feasible. The reason I don"t like the twine is that the twine seems to come apart when moving the bales and that they weather way worse than a net wrap bale. Plus, it takes a lot time to wrap a bale with adequate time. Anyone had a similar project? Did it work?
