My earlier thread about drum mowers is because I've been thinking the last couple years about building a front mount, with 4 smaller drums. Getting the angle of the lift arms and associated gear arranged so it releases/lifts when bumping something will be the critical factor I think.
2 drums will make a big windrow that will tangle on the tractor I think, going to 4 will make 2 smaller ones and clear everything maybe.
Thinking of using hyd. drive with 2 counter rotating motors belted to alternating heads. Any thoughts on if the onboard hydraulics will put out enough?
