New Holland 268 Service Manual

Does anyone have a PDF of a service manual for a New Holland 268 baler? I am needing to get my knotters in shape and need a manual. Everyone says you need a manual to work on these and to go to eBay to get one. But I find none there that are not cheap copies for lots of money.

Thanks!!

Yes, thats what I did, just ordered from cnh. Could not function with out it. Small investment for a thousand dollar machine capable of spitting out 400$ plus of product an hour if working correctly. gobble

I came across these a while back. The first download kept asking me for a password when I tried to open it. The other two towards the bottom of the page worked fine for me.

Tom Turk said it best.. spend the money.. the return on that investment is more than worth it. I cant begin to tell how much money my 273 has made me over the years along with other equipment. I buy service, parts and operators manuals when ever getting a new piece of equipment. Although most parts are online now. I think I spend about 30 for my N.H. books. spent 450.00 for 3020 manuals years ago.

Thanks for all the replies. The problem with going to a dealer is they are 145 miles away. In CNHs infinite wisdom, they have pulled the NH out of all the red tractor dealers. So my local CNH dealer can no longer get me NH parts as they now are a CIH dealer. So I have to mail order parts from another dealer or aftermarket.

Also, I have the owners manual which is listed on the farmers manuals fast site. I need the service manual which goes into much more detail on the knotters and other specs.

I am sure I can go online and order one from a NH dealer, but in my experience with CIH vintage tractor manuals, they suck. Reproductions of reproductions of reproductions at best. There are many other manual companies that offer supperior manuals. I didn"t want to spend $30 and up and get something worthless.

Most often an operators manual for a baler will cover about all you need along with a small dose of common sense.
I haven't found anything particular pertaining to knotters that's not covered in my Ford or Deere op's manuals... though I can't say I've looked at NH's in much detail.
I thought they also had a baler supplement book at one time for that purpose rather than a full blown service manual... Some of the NH baler guys might know more about that...
