New holland 65/68 baler value

What is a NH 65 or 68 square baler worth. What is the scrap value? I got two of them, shedded, but not what you would call field ready. One needs a little work on the guides for the pick-up arms, etc.

The 68 is a normall bale size baler so depending on condition would be what it is worth. Now the 65 is the small bale size baler and they are realy scarce so under no circumstances send it for scrap as even if nothing but parts someone will want it, may take a while to get together with that person as would have to do a lot of advertising.

Here in Minnesota there is a hay shortage going on, so every small square baler and related equipment has gone way up in price. The reason is a lot of hobby farmers and horse people are buying it up thinking they can make their own hay cheaper than buying it. Those balers would go 1000 to 1500 here all day. I picked up a 68 myself this summer for the same reasons, and I felt lucky to find one for 600 in good condition.

I bought a 68 in working condition at auction for $200. Has needed some maint but still cranks out the bales. Just saw a rougher one at a auction sell for $225. Both balers cond were dark rusted red, but functionally sound.

The 65 is a whole nuther story. Is an unusual bale size that some are looking for e.g. rare for the right buyer. I would expect it to go for a min of $600 in unknown condition and have seen nice ones with good paint on t-house for $1200... Have to find the right buyer, tho.

Parts are still easy to get from New Holland and aftermarket on these balers.
