45-46-47- new holland mower cutter bar

just wondering if anybody knows where I could get a cutter bar? or maybe the knives....seems that the cutter bar is obsolete now.. local dealer wants almost 2.50 a piece for the knives . seems a bit steep...thanks

There are basicly 3 differend sections for all mowers and any farm store should have them. Last year I bought from a small local dealer that speciliezes in the McCormick Nos. 7 & 9 and Deere No. 4 mowers, steel wheel mowers. Think it was $.85 each. TSC wanted about twice that. I have supplied machinery to this dealer and also delievered machinery for him.

Our local farm store keeps them in stock, Get the chrome sections, they are harder and don't bend like the mild steel ones do.

Sickle sections are easy to find for about $10 per box of 20. I sold one of those NH 45,46,47 a few years back and I had just rebuild the bar and guards and switch it to bolt on sections. Any good farm and home store with had both the sections and the guards. Look close at your old sections and they will have a letter stamped on them and that is the type of section you need
