Hi all,
I recently bough another threshing machine to add to my collection. It"s a Goodison "Hart" model and seems to be in excellent condition. It"s been many years since I"ve used our old McCormick, hopefully I"ll get back into the swing of things. This Goodison came with what the owner called a "clover separator" which is a unit about the size of a small fanning mill that bolts underneath where the grain comes out. It contains some fine screens that sit on a slant. I don"t know anything about this attachment, was hoping someone here might. Is it to try and collect a little bit of clover seed if the grain was planted with some clover? I can"t imagine a standard thresher could also be used to thresh straight clover. If anyone has any info on this attachment, I"d very much appreciate what you can tell me.
