I think I would like to buy a roll over plow or switch plow for my 4430 john deere and 4230 john deere but do not no what model to get but I think I would like to stay with a john deere any suggestions on model and does anyone have one for sale or no were I could find one

Where are you located? Two way plows are common here in the irrigated 'west'.I prefer a 'spinner' type. The switch type is all that JD makes anymore. They dont perform as well in heavy or 'clay' soils.I've also heard reports of them pulling harder.JD #8350 and 4200 are popular models of 'spinners'.Steve

Around here it takes about 225 HP to pull a 7 bottom switch plow and they don't do a good job turning the dirt . I looked on FCNH site and I couldn't even find a plow do they even make one at all ?

I that would probably work OK I really like a regular moldboard a lot better seems like they turn the dirt better than the square bottoms.

Bob,we figure it takes approx. 25-30 horsepower per bottom for a 2 way moldboard plow in irrigated ground. There are of course exceptions.4 bottom/4430; 3 bottom/ 4230 is about normal. You should find plenty of two ways in western KS,OK,TX......JD# 835,8350,4200 are good JD #s.Look at MF #57;or IH 642,140;White/Oliver 6342 as these are also good plows. Steve
