Further questions regarding this machine. #1 The bolt holding the flywheel sheave in place , is it right or left hand thread as the pitman arm is worn so I need to remove it. #2 What is the easiest way to replace the bearing on the stub shaft to the drive sheave, drop the gearbox or pull the side plate and shaft with it mounted in place. It is a 1970 model if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.

I'm not completely sure of which sheave you are referring to in #1. The grooved sheave that sits on the bottom conditioning roll should be held on by a nut with a half moon key on the shaft. On #2, I don't believe removing the gearbox is necessary, however you are working in cramped quarters and I believe I actually removed the tire in past to allow removal. You might try looking at agcopartsbooks.com for schematic breakdowns as I know many of the PT10s and PT7s differ in the years produced.

Yes, that is the one. Do you know if it is right or left hand? I went to Agcoparts and it looks like the best way would be to remove the gear box as I need to replace the bearing and seal on the right side of the gear box. Thanks for your time.
