I'm fairly certain my NI mower is a 30A, and my response is based on that.

The pto shield is a couple of large, somewhat curved pieces of metal that basically act as a roof over the pto. It doesn't use a conventional type round pto shield directly around the shaft. You'll probably have to find a donor mower for these. A suitable substitute probably could be fabbed out of sheet metal if you wanted to.

Pre-cut and pre-drilled pitman sticks should still be available. I think there are two different sticks, one for the type that used an allen wrench on an eccentric piece to latch the pitman to/release it from the ball on the sickle head, and another stick for the type that used the more conventional spring loaded latch assembly to do the same. See if Webb's Sickle Service has parts available. If not, a decent Tractor Supply store should be able to special order them yet. They may still be available at an AGCO dealer as well.

Springs, depending on which ones, can probably be sought at a an AGCO dealer, or from a donor machine, too.

Also, you can check with the Parts Depot on any of the above and more if you have a part number. They supply dealers with obsolete dealer stock from various manufacturers.

I make my own pitman arms for the 30a out of ash I buy at a local saw mill. The blades I find at a local Farm and Fleet store. The springs I found at a tractor junk yard in Sullivan Wisconsin. My guard is trashed an I have been thinking of selling the whole 30a or fabing up a new shield type grard. I do have na instruction manual for it if you want a copy get a hold of my E mail. [email protected]. It wont help much and I find the mower to be such a blunt tool that you can make your own parts with little cost and not much of a problem.

I used it behind a Ford 860 and 8n for years and this year I think i"m switching to a rough mower, less head ache. The 30 a does not like talll thin grass.

Thank u guys this has been very helpful could one of u possibly measure the length of your pitman arm
