difference between 1091 and 1090 hesston swather

My father in law and I had thought we had the same swather. Identical in everyway (except his is in PA and mine is in MT). This visit I noticed though that his is a 1090 and mine is a 1091.
Anyone know what the difference is, one newer than the other?

Off the top of my head I do not know the difference, but you can view the parts lists for both units at the AGCO websites for free. (Do not give up if you do not find them easily, sometimes it takes creative searches to get the parts list but it is there).

I do think that somewhere in there that Hesston switched their steel roller design (and of course the mating rubber roller too) from what I call the flat teeth design (similar to older PT units)to the more Vee shaped pattern used on newer units like the 1120.

FWIW: I have a highly abused 1120 (prior owners) and love it.

Thanks, I think you might be onto something regarding the rollers being slightly different. His didn't seem quite the same as mine.

Now you've got me thinking. I'll have to take a closer look at my 1091. We used a PT-10 for years, and the nieghbor has a 1090. I thought all three pretty much the same.
