Hay Rack for Loose Hay

I'm thinking about building a small, maybe 4 x 8, enclosure for hauling loose hay from the field to the garden for mulch. This would be stuff from mowing two tracks, etc. I'm thinking a platform with sides of either 2 x 4s with 14 gauge 2 x 4 fence stapled to them or cattle panels cut to length and hog ringed or hose clamped to together. I can use my carry all to lift the front and use chain or rope from the back of the rack to the carry all frame to support the back. Any thought or recommendations? I don't want to use my truck because of all the small saplings and brush.

Years ago Dad had a 4' x 8' trailer we used to haul cord wood in the winter.
We also had a rack for loose hay in the summer. That rack was made up of 4 2x4s 8' long lade crossways on the bed. Then there were 4 (two on each side)2x6" x10' There was an angle iron clip that bolted the rack to the trailer bed. Worked good.
You could do that with any size trailer or wagon.
