I poured 1/2 gal of used motor oil in the middle and on top of each wire box. Im going to try to build up the twister hooks with JB weld. IF that lasts a season I can redo it. I have no illusions about it being a permanent fix. Thanks. There are NO new twister hooks for it to be found anymore, so building them up is the only alternative,

Don't suppose you can show a pic of a JD twister hook can you? I Doubt there the same, as I took the tie mech to a JD Dealer here, and stressed how rare the hooks are. Im pretty sure that they would have made mention of any sameness if there had been any.
