NH 851 Upper Conveyor Bearing Problem HELP!!

I thought I lost the bearing on the drive side of the upper conveyor, had to dump a bale to prevent fire, However, Started taking it apart, which I still have to get a better puller to get the pulley off, however I can see behind it, the bearing is ok, the bracket that holds the bearing appears to have completely rusted out and is the real problem, I do not see any replacement bracket, does anyone know what or how it should look so i can try to make something to fix it, have about 20 acres of hay down yet that needs to be baled...

I have an 851 parts baler I might be able to pull out of the fence row and get a picture etc from it. Might be nice to know exactly which one it is

My 851 is sitting out in the yard and I can take pictures of anything you need, but I'm not sure exactly which bearing your talking about.

It is the one on the drive side of the baler, it has
the double pulley on the outside of the baler, it
appears that the metal that is supposed to hold the
bearing in place fell apart.

Assuming you mean this double pulley as its the one that drives the upper chain. If that's case and you have 20 acres to bale I would start finding another baler or somebody to come and bale it for you as that looks like a major undertaking.

That's the one,and it appears yours is on it's way
to doing just what mine has, I already did call a
friend, he's going to finish baling for me, i'm
guessing if i'm able to fix this it's going to take
me at least a month... really stinks i like the
baler, but not sure if this is something that can be
fixed, from what i can tell it's a plate between the
outer shell and the inner shell and I do not see how
any panels come off to expose it... Anyone have a
thought?

Looks like the only way to access anything would be to cut holes in the outer plates and then repair the bearing support then weld the holes up.

I poked around in there with a pick and it seems pretty solid. After I get my hay baled up today I'm going to powerwash it and look closer. If anything looks off I'll repair it before it breaks, thanks for the heads up.

If I had known it would have gotten. A lot more attention with
the pressure washer and a good dose of used oil every year at a
minimum to prevent the rust.

Do you think cutting access holes would be best from
the inside or the outside? I'm leaning toward
cutting into the inside panel as it looks thinner?
Either way, it's going to be a huge mess.

chevytaHOE5674, can you give me measurements from
the outer shell to the plate that the bearing is
bolted to? As well as the thickness of the plate
and a dimension from the plate to the inner shell?
I'm hoping to cut it open this weekend and with any
luck my buddy and I will be able to make a new plate
and install. I'm not sure what is left inside there
so dimensions from one that is still intact may be
very helpful, thanks! Leo
