Looking at a round baler upgrade and spotted a 535 deere for a decent price. Gonna be a big change from the New Holland 849 I know. What's the good, bad, and ugly to watch for on these balers???

the belts if the belts are real old they might have lost the gripping power and in crops like straw or cornstalks sometimes hard to start a bale , also see if it has the newer heavy splices on the belts , the chains , the pickup -- grab a pickup tooth and see how much back and forth play is in it , there a gear box under the hood there's a lil dip stick ----

I seen some rd balers that have baled a lot of rd bales that the side sheets have holes worn in them. Look to see how many steps are on the tread on the belts. Also look at the wear on the sprockets & chains.
