Gots me an IH 2001 manual trip, manure bucket only unit that was carried by a Farmall 340 so I bought it sight unseen except for a picture of it on same several years ago. Well the rear mount isn't original [flat stock w/lots of holes drilled] and I'm tinkin' a hydraulic bucket would be useful at times anyway. Never have had it mounted. Now, with a Farmall and International 460, I gots ta tinkin' bout a loader again. No inside room for storage but hey, why should I let that stop me :D

Rich_WI, are you happy with yours on your F460? [from an archive search, saw your Nov. 2, 2009 post] when you were commenting to DanTo.

Last week I happened upon a 2001 that rode on a 504 U; single cylinder, manure bucket only w/front mounting brackets, all tines and a not butchered rear mount w/brackets. Unit is straight w/o breaks, cracks or welds and intact-readable decals [it makes it operate soooo much better]. Gosh, now I can't remember if it had a tine cover or not.Asking $ is 1250; I haven't made an offer.

What say you folks. Anyone have original 'parking legs'? What a find that would be. Thanks in advance.

Parts catalog shows different parts numbers for subframe used on I-504 (utility) and the one used on I-460. The rear axle mounting is identical but there is a different length involved in the subframe itself. Subframe for a 504 U also fits 340 U. Subframe for 460 U is same as I-606. I-606 and I-504 are basically the same tractor, it is just the 606 has six cylinder engine making it "2 cylinders" longer through the engine therefore longer total length. . Front brackets are identical for use on both models. Only difference in the front mounting is which set of holes is used to bolt it to tractor. If you buy it, the subframe could be lengthened by cutting the square tubing near the rear end and welding in the needed additional inches of a piece of identical square tubing.
Forget about putting one from a 504 utility on the 460 Farmall. The rear mount is very different, the subframe is longer and the front mounts are also very different .
I can send you pictures from manual and parts book if you need them.

Thanks for your excellent reply. It made me get out my parts booklet and I now see I need 466 829 R92 [right hand] and 466 828 R92 [left hand] part #'s 7 and 8 rear mount respectively, for a Farmall 460. I see a Farmall 504 and 560 mounted loader would also fit; same front brackets and rear mount. Your info saved me from a costly purchase that wouldn't have been correct. Thanks again. I'll have to keep looking.
