Okay, this may be stupid, but the Kuhn 700 has a cut range of 1" to 2" and I cut my Coastal 2-1/2 to 3" depending on the conditions.
I ordered a set of high lift shoes (two of them) for the cutter and they have a range of 2" to 3-1/2".
Now, here is the question. Should one go on each end of the cutter bar, or should I space them in some?
My first guess at each end, but then I have to wonder if that causes the center of the bar to constantly flex and lead to gear wear or cutter bar cracking?
Opinions?
Richard
