Thinking of a use for 3 rd bottom & hardware that I'm going to drop off my new bought ford 101 3 x16 plow. Anyone ever try to make a 1 bottom out of the left overs? Hoping to fab up a 3 pt 1 bottom to sell and recoup my investment . King Kutter design looks close. Any thoughts?

I thought of doing that too with the bottom I dropped.
Here we have Fleet Farm stores where they carry those KK plows. Maybe go there or TSC if you have one and take some measurements.
The big thing will be getting it to track properly so you get a full 16" cut.
As popular as 3 point plows are for gardens and the like I would think you'd have no problem selling it.
If you do it keep some measurements and take some photos. I might follow your lead.
my email is open if you want to discuss this further.

when you dropped the third plow, did you drop the center plow? most times this is what folks do.

most times the rear plow has a longer landslide or trail furrow wheel that helps keep the plow running true or straight.

if you dropped the center plow it may have a shorter landslide, so when you add the 3pt hitch to the plow, it might not run straight without the longer land slide.

just a thought.

Yes, I did it this year with an Oliver 3rd bottom.I bought a whole new bottom for it and put it on the old beam. Works great.
