Side Dressing corn question

How do you guys side dress corn? I know they made side dressing units for Farmall Cultivators but I doubt there are any left around. Is there a way to side dress while cultivating without having the factory made ones? I want to increase our yield this year. Thanks for any advice.

You can throw dry urea out and cultivate it in. Do as many acres as you can cultivate in a day. Also can knife in or dribble liquid or knife in ammonia.

I spread urea or AN with a 3 point spreader. I try to do it just before a rain. If I doesn't rain within a day or two after I put it down I will drag the cultivator out. One day I plan to switch to liquid, just haven't gotten around to buying the equipment for it yet.

I have a 3- point tool bar set up with my fertilizer hoppers for my planter and a set of disc openers. That way I don't have to make a second trip with a cultivator, and am not at the mercy of the rain to wash it in.

Most of the people in my area use a narrow track spreader from our dealer

Around here most everyone uses liquid with knife rigs. Some spray liquid over the top.
