I have a great IHC baler with updated knoters. My only problem is that I want better bales without loose strings and better compaction. I have looked into "bale skies" but they are much to expensive.
There are 2 sets of wedges in the bale chamber and was wondering if another set would help? Also I see that the bale ski product has holes or pockets on sides. Would some expanded metal fasten to the sides help or put to much resistance?
Any ides would be appreciated. We do only grass hay and oat straw.

Oregon Farmer,Ive got 2 sets of wedges behind the "loovers" on my 47.I set my bale pressure real tight and i run a real heavy windrow. If you have a book for your baler theres a ton of info in it.i try to make a 50# bale and i"m doing just grass hay also.
