Anyone know is this plow complete?I"m going to post some pics and there is a pully on the hitch, whats that for? I want to sell it anyone know what they are worth. Bottoms are scoured and greased tires in good shape. And I have a new set of shares for it too. Thanks, jim

Can't comment on the " add-ons " but my brother just sold one like it, condition wise , for $450 and had other bids as high as $438. Oh and forgot to say, the guy was 4 states away for shipping so you may get $500 from a closer buyer.
 
Looks like everything is there, the front colter is not for that plow though. The pulley is for the knee knocker safety release. A chain ran from hitch around pulley and up to clutch lever so when you hit a rock it would snap the clutch lever back and smack you right in the knee! Its worth whatever two fools agree upon. You can buy them around here for 150-300 depending on condition. John
 
The pulley on the tongue is for the hand clutch release chain used on a JD two cylinder. They where called "knee knockers". If the plow tripped the hitch and the plow "unhooked" the chain would pull the hand clutch back or disengaged the tractor clutch. There where some brackets needed for the tractor but that is what the pulley was for.

Your plow is a JD 44AH they where made between 1945 and 1957. Yours is later than a 1949 because of the hitch. It is earlier than a 1953 for the same reason.

As for value. They are bringing more money that just a few years ago. The popularity of plowing days is causing that. I would say that plow could easily bring $400-600, maybe even more with the new points and all. It appears to be complete with rolling cutters and cover boards. It also had all rubber tires they are worth more than the steel ones right now. Guys can parade them easier.
