New Holland Baler PTO Shaft Disassembly

I am trying to figure out how a two section NH PTO shaft comes apart. The part in question is the yoke at the carrier bearing. this yoke slides onto a regular 1 1/8" pto spline that makes up the front part of the long(back section) of the shaft assembly. The yoke is pinned to the shaft, but the pin, or what ever it is, does not go through to the other side of the yoke. The yoke has a hardened plug in one side that we cannot figure out how to remove. Trying to post pictures. Thanks

This will be my first try at posting pictures. T\

That "hardend plug" is acctually a Broken off set
screw. It is pointed, goes into a recess in the
splined shaft.I believe it is 1/2"fine thread.Use
the welded washer/nut trick. It should screw right
out.Steve

Thanks DeltaRed, I looked at the NH parts site after I posted and they show a screw that pins the yoke and a jam nut to lock the screw. They do say 1/2x20 threads. What is in there is very hard, would not drill. I will try the weld, washer & nut method.

What baffles me is that nothing looks sheared or broken off. It was off a 275 baler. We have an old S69 with the long tougue, in the pasture, that I am going to compare it to.
