492 New Holland Haybine lowering

I bought a New Holland haybine, 492 if I remember
right. We went to use it and raise it up to undo
the t-arm that holds the weight off the cylinder
when transporting and can't get it to raise. There
must be another latch or something holding it, maybe
on the right side? Please help, we are getting ready
to silo some rye and are in a bind.
Thank you,

Your tractor may not have enough hydraulic pressure to raise the header off the stops. Also the spool valve in the tractor may be leaking down before you can jump off the tractor and release the transport lock. Don"t ask me how I know about both of these troubles.

If its like a 488 or479 it should be the only thing holding it up maybe something is up with your hydralics. Just a thought.

You might have air in the cyl......remove it and cycle it several times to get full stroke at its normal speed.
