7100 planter

Wondering if anyone has a manual for a 7000/7100 planter which uses the 22, 26, 14, 28, & 18 tooth sprockets on the driven shaft and 22, 26, 14, 30, & 16 tooth sprockets on the drive shaft. What I need are the pages from the manual that show seed population settings for corn & soybeans (plateless planter). Anyone got those and if so, would you mind to scan and email me a copy of them? I acquired a newer 7100 and have the decal labeling the sprockets, but the book for my older one has charts for different sprockets w/larger & fewer teeth (7, 8, 11, 14, 15). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Just had a stray thought - are the sprockets w/higher tooth count just double the count on the older, wider-toothed sprockets? If so, I could just use my older chart and double the tooth count. I'll check both planters tomorrow.

If you think about it, the old chain/ sproket is double link, the new is regular links.

So......

You just have to double or half your numbers to make one work with the olher, you don't really need a new chart.

9 = 18
11 = 22
13 = 26

And so forth.

I don't have a manual for my 7000 any more (thanks to my boys, I think...), but I've had 2 7000's, one with the wide teeth (cast sprockets) and one with more teeth (steel). The steel sprockets are indeed double the tooth count of the older, cast sprockets. Your old chart will work.

Yes- you are right....early 7000 had the cast sprockets, later had the cut steel sprockets. Ratios are the same.....7=14, etc.
