When the twine comes out of tube does it just hang or do you have to run it around the knife to cut it off? Just bought this baler and dont know much about it. Had a square baler before. Looking for some input on machine. Thanks dave

When the arms are up the twine should be pinched on the knives. When you swing the arms down to start a tie, the twine is released, falls down into the hay and starts to tie. The arms work their way to the outside of the bale and when the arms hit the end, the twine is cut and pinched in place till the next bale. If that doesn't make sense I can try again.

If you want it "ready to go" then you can run the twine through the tubes. You'll find a cable by the knives that pivots a block that pinches the twine so the knives can cut it. Pull on that cable, run the twine over the knife and release the cable. The twine will be set now. It sounds complicated as heck but it really isn't.

New idea 486. On the left bottom the outside belt is running about a 1/2 inch too far to the outside and is currling over. It should be ajusted to the inside more. Would you have to tighten it or loosen it or how would i solve this. PS this is the first that i ran the machine since i bought it. Just to make sure every thing works. Thanks
