Type Dearborn 10-80 into Google and in the top five sites, The instruction manual comes up. Actually it's the first one.

I will check the top link measurement. I ahd it leveled fore and aft.

The furrow wheel may not be working quite right as it does tend to steer the tractor a little to the right. I wonder about the spring ont eh furrow wheel- might it have gotten a little lazy?

the soil wasn;t the easiest - old sod athat was maybe still a little damp.

Thats the thing about disc plows, they don't care if the soil is damp or hard as a rock they will plow it. If the disc on the furrow wheel is worn down it will tend to come out of the furrow. The furrow wheel is the key to getting a disc plow to work properly. It may be the spring is weak, but I can't say for sure. I have never used a Dearborn disc plow, all I have used is the Ferguson disc plow that I have and even though the operation is the same they are quite differently built plows.

I said something about draft control which is what you want for plowing but the draft control must be adjusted and working properly. Not saying yours isn't but if it wasn't it would make plowing with one much more difficult.

I am going to swap tractors for one with a better-known working draft control.

Furrow wheel looks fine to me. I can send pics. I will also check the cross shaft.
