Sleeve for F-12

Bought a F-12 engine for the tractor my dad started farming with in the late 40's. It has new sleeves, pistons & rings installed, water has set in one cyl and pitted the sleeve, piston is fine. I have honed the cyl trying to clean it up, but pits are to deep.

Will sleeves for a C fit? The f-12 has 3 1/8" overbore sleeves. Anyone have a new sleeve and set of rings lying around? Piston has 3- 1/8" Compression
rings and 1- 1/4" oil ring.

If the pits are not too deep as in clear thru then I would just use it, I think that is a dry sleeve engine so would not have to think about coolant seepage. And rings are a lot more tollerant than people think.

This would be better answered down in the IH forum rather than the implement forum.

As far as the pits. How much are you going to be using the tractor?? I have had several tractors over the years with pits in the bore. All that will happen is that the pits will hold some oil and so the tractor will burn a little oil. IF the pits are real high in the bore they will not use much at all. Just run a little hotter spark plug and it would be fine under the low houred usage most would be doing with an F-12.

As far as what sleeve will fit. That you need to asked some of the knowledgeable IH guys on the IH forum. They are a pretty friendly bunch down there.

Thanks guys. I posted on the ih forum to I didn't realize I was on the implement forum and posted here first.

The it is one big pit about 1.5" long and 1/4" wide, Honed it to where I would be comfortable with it but now the piston is way to loose(oh well}
