Krause Disks - is there a Model 311 ???

Local dealer identified my disk as a "211", but the serial number tag clearly is marked 311_0_0.

The way the turnscrew and hinging plated hitch on mine is completely different than what is shown in the "211" parts book,

unless 211-A has the same style as mine. (The 211 is shown in the parts book, but the 211-A is not shown or the difference explained)

I was able to get Krause on the phone today, and John in parts was very helpful. He identified it as a model 311, from 1960-to-1965 year.

He identified it has having 1 1/8" diamter, round tie rod or gang bolt.

So let me get this straight -- a round axle with round holes in the disc blades --- do they free-wheel spin on a round axle ? Or does the tightened tension against the spacers & end washers not let them free-wheel ?

The gang bolt has to be tight. If the blades can turn individulay it will groove the bolt and also the bolt will bend or break very easily when loose. 400 to 600 foot pounds of torque is what I remember for another brand, best if you check with Krause.
