Boy,that sparks a memory. When I was a senior in high school, our government class went to the courthouse and sat in on a case. A well driller was suing a potato farmer for not paying for the irrigation well he had drilled. The farmer claimed they had broken the casing when they pulled it back up after they dropped the screen in. They testified that they had made a contraption out of three weeder times and had slid it down the well. Said it squeeled all the way down to where the alleged break was then quit making any noise when it got to the break.
I would imagine a lot of those things met a similar fate. Got cut up for another use.

I've got a couple I found that I was going to melt down to pay fir the new swather but I got the one loaded and then I decided to turn the drive wheel and it still worked so unloaded it goina keep it its an old john deere 400 I think it has been sitting on one of my cousins rock piles for over 30 years and it is excellent shape. Then I've got another Morris that's about 30 feet that has cultivator shanks in front I can't decide whether I should send it to china yet.
