Birdsell Thrashing Machine

There is one coming up for auction here this week-end in very good condition. I think they were used primarily for clover/alfalfa. What would be a good sale price to buy it? I think they were made in the early 1900's. Thanks, JD
 
I am not sure that you are talking a thrash machine. I can remember as a kid my dad had 2 of them Both were clover hullers not thrashing machine. They were made in different sizes. His were both #9 machines. There were also smaller machines such as a number 6. His both had steel wheels. I have seen several with wooden wheels. My 2 cents worth today. J.
 
You are right J. S., I am just learning about them. This one has wooden spoke wheels with steel rings. Thanks.
