I see it is a 'long tongue' model, a big plus in my opinion. Isn't that a Super Sweep pick up also? The hay carriage/feeder system has plastic covered bearing/rollers running in the guide tracks. The plastic caps are replaceable and snap over the bearing. I guess it makes the feeder system run a little less noisy. The one I help a neighbor maintain had a lot of side play in that hay carriage. The rubbing blocks can be shimmed/replaced. That carriage is easy to get out. Looks like your 269 has about the same type of feeder system on it. Neighbor's had about 250,000-300,000 bales on it though. His feeder carriage sounded like a bass drum in a high school marching band on every stroke!

Old NH dealer said that the 310 had a bad reputation around here for not putting the twine in the center of the bale on fescue hay. NH actually bought some back from farmers and resold them in another part of the country.

I am not a baler expert by any means by have learned a lot more than I did know about them in the last few years, especially from that 'high mileage' 310. Looks like you got a really nice one. If it is not too nosy, how much did it bring at auction.

If that baler is anything like my 310 w/super sweep, then you've got yourself a darned good baler. Just my thoughts, Keith
