Attention new holland baler experts! I,ve searched the archives here and cant quite figure out if a 54a thrower will fit on a 276 baler. I see they fit 273 and 275 but not sure about 276. Does the 275 make a 14 by 16 bale like the 273? I'm pretty sure my 276 is the higher capacity 16 by 18 baler. If it does fit are these pretty reliable throwers or should i be looking for someting a little newer? If it doesent what model does? Thanks for reading!

A 54A will not fit a 276, its too short. You can soemwhat easily confirm this online but i believe the thrower you are looking for is a model 58. all the balers you mentioned make the same size bale, which I beleive is a 14X18.

Yes good luck. I happened to run a ‘wanted’ ad in the local farm newspaper and a guy called me and said he had a thrower he no longer wanted. Many many of the parts on a 54A and 58 are interchangeable, if you already have a 54A maybe someone has a junky 58 they just want to get rid of and you can use parts from your 54A

ran thrower units,i would go with the ezflow bale basket instead alot less headaches,I used to run three of them befor went to grapple setup and then out of the hay business. i have a bale 1/4 turn chute left yet if anybody interested

I was told by my nh dealer that a 70 shaft drive would be real hard to put on a 276. I do have acess to one. Has anyone here done so? If so do you need to make up some brackets?

When my grandfather bought the 276 the dealer told him with a good windrow you could keep a bale airborn at all times.

He proved it one day when my uncle's in-laws wanted to stack the wagons and there was rain on the way.
