oliver small square baler

i use to have a oliver 60T baler that i sold several years ago cause i never used it. thinking about getting one now, and found a 62W coming up on an auction. dont know anything about wire tie balers, nor the oliver wire tie. are they ok? dependable?

Yep, the 62's are a great little baler, but wire tie would be more to show than use these days. The price of wire will make your bales unaffordable IF you can find someone who sells it.

i know our local bomgaars sells wire for balers, around 60.00 for a box of it. would that not be the wire i need to use or does it take something special?

That"s the right wire. I have a 62W. Prefer wire in wheat straw bales - pack tighter and store longer without mice eating the strings.
