I have no idea what this part is. Haven't ran across it yet. Hopefully someone will know what it is! Thanks for lookin.

I think you have the main frame to a single row adjustable cultivator, sometimes called "a double shuffle". It was a horse drawn impliment. Cultivaor plows were attached to the middle bar and also on the two wing bars. The plow could be adjusted to the width of the row.

What you have there is the frame from what we used
to call a strawberry culivator, or in the south they
called them a gee wize.
We wood pull them between the rows of crops with one
mule to scratch up the ground and try to kill some
weeds.
They were adjustable to be used in various row
widths.
Yours is missing several key parts, such as boot all
of it.

if it were used in a cultivator where is the wear marks? Also for a cultivator it woud be of much more sturdy material. My guess is it was used in part for some kind of a small sliding door opener, or possibly part of astep ladder.

Thanks for the help. Had a bunch of misc parts in pickle barrels, and this was with it. Be interesting to find a pic of the full piece. My google searches bring up the wrong stuff.

It's just part of the frame to a walking one row cultivator. The handles, the cultivator shanks and clamps, the lever for adjusting, the handle braces, the hitch are all gone.
