Massey Ferguson 126 Baler

Anyone know about these? One coming up on an auction. Appears to be in excellent shape, but concerned about parts availability.
Seems pretty well built and has been used recently. Any idea on a fair price?[/quote]

We had a 124 and it was a great baler. Much more
capacity than the jd or nh balers of the 70's. We
had a belt type thrower on it and in good rows the
thrower wouldn't have time to get back to full speed
between bales. It would make the 730 case we pulled
it with smoke a little. Always missed a bale when
the twine bales changed but never otherwise. We
never could figure out why it did that. Otherwise I
can't think of any other problems.

I have a 224 that has been very good, particularly the way it will handle a big slug of hay that you hadn't planned on. I have one place where even slipping the clutch the JD 336 that I had before it would always grab a big slug and break the shear bolt. The 224 will grab the big slug, chew it up and spit out two bales one on top of the other without a complaint.

I sure liked the 124 I had. I believe it is the same machine except twine vs wire. Good little baler. Only real complaint was the narrow pickup in heavy grass hay.
