I purchased a NI #17 and there are some things that dont seam right with it and was hoping you guys could help me out. I do have the Manual for it but it doesnt get into much detail.
The main drive you engage for the beaters along left side, The book says 71 links i only count 67. The long rod the changes the position of the first grear seams too long. When you disengage it the rod rubs on chain and its very hard to get it up into position. Also it doesnt lift the chain high enough to fully disengage it.
I also notice the feed belt chain i believe is in backwards. The inside of the angles face back, shouldnt they face back the the inside facing forward so it pushes not scoops? Ther was a new bed in it when i bought it and i think they put it back together wrong.
Well we'll start there, I hope you guys can help me out. |

| Can't help you on the engagement apparatus, but on the the floor conveyor---the slats should have the vertical portion of the slat towards the rear of the spreader. |
