Looking for information on setting the rear tires for a 2 bottom 12 inch plow. What would it be from center of tractor to center of tire? Thank you

Assuming it cannot be a "Mounted Plow", it all depends on how the Plow]s hitch is set..
That plow can be "Off-Set" to the Rt pretty far, to allow your rear wheels to remain set for other things (like a cultivator) and still plow correctly with the plow..
Our JD"B" tractors were set at a width (to the Inside of the tire) of 29 1/2" for the 2-14" JD Pull-Type plows..same as what we needed for cultivating Corn..
For a Mounted 2-12", the plow MST be off-set to the Rt some (Tractors are more than 12" Wide)..!!!

John Deere book says 23.5 center of tractor to inside of right rear wheel. Sounds awfully close but that's about 5 feet center to center. If it's a trailer plow do like the other poster said and offset the hitch. Two 12" plows won't affect the side draft/pull very much. The left rear doesn't really matter.

The centerline of draft on a pull type plow is one half the width of cut PLUS one-fourth the width of one bottom to the left of center. On a 2-12" plow this would be 15" from the furrow wall. Being this is too narrow for most tractors you will have to offset the hitch. Usually this is done by splitting the offset equally (or close to it) on the tractor hitch and the plow hitch. For instance, if the minimum tread of your tractor is 56" and it has 10" wide tires on it, the closest you can set the rear wheels is 46" apart or 1/2 of this being 23". If you subtract the 15" requirement from the 23" minimum you have 8". You then would split the 8" in two and offset the tractor hitch 4" and the plow hitch 4". This should get you where you need to be. Your plow will pull much easier and straighter if you follow these guidelines. Mike
