Howdy Gents,

As a new JD 3010 owner, I"m looking for implements now. I"ve found it difficult to locate what I"m looking for because I don"t have the "code" number for all the implements I want. Are you folks aware of some reference where I can look up, say, 2 row corn picker, and find a list of all the various makes and models? Also, a reverse index would be handy. I see stuff for sale by model number only and have no idea what the darn thing is.

Much obliged for any help.

Go look on 'Tractor House'.There will be LOTS of listings of all kinds of equipment. If you're looking for a "code" that tells you what kinds/sizes of equipmemt that 'fits' a 3010,you're out of luck.If you simply dont know the modle numbers of the equipment, thats ok.We can help...

What implements are you looking for? For a two row cornpicker you want a 227 or 237 with the 237 being newer and better than the 227.If you check Ebay Deere printed sales brochures called matched working equipment these brochures listed all of the mounted implements that Deere had to fit your tractor.Another nice brochure is the Deere Modern Farming books, these were printed each year and showed the complete tractor and equipment line for that year.Brochures from the 1960's run $30-90 depending on the condition.Investing in a few brochures would be a good place to start learning about what goes with your tractor.Ask plenty of questions here and the people on these forums will be a great place to learn from as well. From the tenor of your post, I get the feeling you're very new to this game. I would strongly suggest you befriend someone who knows what he's doing and let him show you the ropes. Machinery, size, type, age and condition have a lot to do with whether you look like a genius or a fool. I get the feeling you ought to get some help you can trust....

Lewis, when shopping for implements remember that you have a 60hp tractor. Some implements will say what HP they are rated for. Also, if you are going to use your 3 point hitch, remember that a JD 3010 has a Category 2. If you are looking for a JD disk to pull behind that 3010, for example, common models are AW,RW and BW, probably in the 12-14' range.
Congratulations with the 3010. I own 2 4010D's. Raised on 3010D, 4010D's and 4430's.

3010/4010 were easily converted to Cat l on the 3pt by using bushings readily available at JD or any farm implement store and flipping the sway blocks 90 degrees.
