Daynee, I can't quite tell just what it is that you have from the picture but I believe it is a Dain Right hand steel frame side delivery built 1909 to 1915. If it has parts that would interchange with the Dain Deere system left hand rake built 1919 to 1943 I would be interested. I think you are in Canada and I am in Ohio in the states so could we get parts across the border? Teeth and the clips to hold the wood bar that holds the teeth in place and the wheel springs and dogs would be the main parts I would be interested in. also perhaps on the levers as well. The other parts I think would be too hard to ship. I do have all the parts books, just would need to know if those parts are on the rake before checking part numbers. Lester Helmlinger

I know other models date back to 1901 in the Dain line. Same then as now eficiency as they would do the job faster and easier than the previous dump rakes. And then the row was straight and not every dump someplace other than in a straight line as the hay loaders were also coming into use and you had to have a straight row for them to follow. If you were using pitch forks to load it did not make the difference that it did with a loader. And the hay had to be lifted for it to dry.
