The original subject was "Kosch Mowers".

I recently found a 7' Kosch mid mount mower for my Farmall Super A - They are not common here in Eastern Ontario. But I am missing the belt pulley that goes on to the PTO shaft. Can anyone tell me what diameter this belt pulley is supposed to be?

I think i have the pto pulley new for a farmall h. It had a kosch mower at one time. If it is the same let me know.

I am pretty sure all Kosch drive pulleys are the same. I'll measure a couple I have when it gets light enough to see.

CAN$200 from the original owner. Had not been used for a number of years. It is in working condition, not seized (I think since I don't have the belt pulley to drive it), but not exactly in excellent condition.

Not sure if it is the same. The main difference would be with the tractor. The Super A is off centred so the PTO drive is way left of centre in line with the engine. The H was centred so the PTO was equidistant between the rear wheels. I mention this because for a Super A the pulley diameter can't be so big that it is interfered with by the rear left fender. That's why I attached the photo, to show how the PTO is off centred.

All of the drive pullys are the same, even the ones one their trail mowers. As long as you have 540 rpm, it doesn't make any difference what tractor you have it on. All you do is change the belt. I'll have to dig around a bit to find all of my Kosch books. The only thing that could possibly be different, is the pully hub. They use a cast center, on pressed shives.
