Saved from scrap

Ive got a couple "Farm boy scrappers" at my school that have been getting alot of farm equipment to sell. Yesterday they told me they had a "tiller" that they found so i drove out to look at it, their tiller turned out to be a Dearborn model 10-158 2 bottom plow. They told me 120 bucks and i now own my first plow. These same guys scraped a new idea manure spreader last week for 60 bucks that was fullly functional. Seems i could just start a resell business off of these "Farm boys".
Ps- they also didnt know what a 3 point is even though they live on the farm

think them fellas need to go watch some auctions and see what stuff goes for, past summer I seen a Minnesota spreader sell for 450 and it was badly rusted, but still useable

don't forget they don't know what a tiller is

They may have "NO IDEA" who owned these things
last....?????????

I would be suspicious and expect a visit from the
Sheriff...

(quoted from post at 16:16:30 01/20/13) I would be checking to see if they are stolen... someone "found" my air compressor and a steel bracket to attach a disk to my MH.
ts not stolen, it came from their house and had been siting under a tree for years plus he had to call his father before we could settle a pprice

There are alot of people who live on farms but aren't necessarily "farmers" who don't want to look at old metal cluttering the property and just want the metal gone. I bought a former farm for a second home and the prior owner left several cars, boats and some implements on site even though he knew people who might use it or knew scrappers who might buy it. After closing I called people and while they were interestd in buying I could not get their lazy tails up the mountain. I finally offered to pay them to move it and when they got to it paid me a nominal amount for 5 60's era cars and a set of ford 7ft discs. I was glad to see it gone and no law enforcement types showed up. There are alot of different motives involved that don't involve theft.
