drag harrow

Does anyone have a good picture of a 3 or 4 section drag harrow that shows the front tow bar? I have a 3 point harrow with a bent tool bar and severely worn flip up pivot bolts and bushings in the main tube. I want to convert it to a simple pull type but I do not remember what the tow bar looked like or how it was connected to the sections.

We had a square 4 section, was 9 x 11. Connected the section with chains to the tow bar. I have a picture of a 2 section from an IH book, it has the original links to the wooden tool bar.
The rear sections were hooked to the front ones.

mine is a three row round bar with chain links to the sections..sounds similar to the square one below..

Does anyone have an actual harrow where a real picture could be taken? I think I have a very good idea of how I want to build mine, but I would like to see a real one just to confirm what I have in mind. Thanks!!

Lynn, Here is a picture of my IH #401 4 section harrow. Not a very good picture to show the hitch but I could take one with just the front of the harrow for you. Al

Thanks greatly for the picture. This gives me some info on the pull bar. Only problem is I am looking for a spike type harrow. I have a 4 section one but that doesn't matter, just so long as it is a harrow.

They were made the same for both the spring tooth and the spike tooth type. Just that for the spring tooth they might have been slightly heavier. A lot of times they were just a full 2 x 4.
