Would help a lot if we would know the make of the planter. Cannot tell from the picture the make. That is the one piece that does wear out in the boxes. Depending on the make it could be avaible new.

Leroy it is a old horse drawn planter made by McCormick Deering. I do not know the number or model.

OK, if you talk to a good McCarmick parts man they can probably get you a new one, If it was Oliver, Blackhawk, Case, Moline or some of the other makes I would say it was no longer avaible but being McCormick then it is a good possibility it is still avaible as there are a lot of them still in use in my area. If I get a chance I just might find that part in one of my books. Looks to me like it is from what they call the richmond hopper and there are tractor mounted planters that take the same hopper and it is considered a standard wear part.
