vermeer 545 xl baler

Was looking at a 554 vermeer baler. Any body have any experience with one. Is silage special with net wrap. Thanks

I've had a 554xl for about 10 years and really has worked well for us. But its only twine tie. Was thinking of upgrading this past spring to one with net wrap but never did. Both the fellow that had the baler for sale and a dealer I talked to said the same thing about it. that the net wrap works good if you sprinkle a little corn starch on the feed roll. Don't know why. Other than that I really like the baler .
