I would just take it to a consignment auction. There are many people that would like your baler. They maybe just baling a few bales and your may work years for them. Also there are many Amish in my area that will buy one like yours and completely rebuild it to use.
Your NH 315 would bring form $1000-2000 even with a lot of wear. I would not just scrap it. It will bring more as a whole unit.
Plus selling at an auction you are selling it AS-IS. That way you have no issues as to it working down the road. That would be the buyers responsibility. You take that on when you by a used piece at an auction.
I have boughten things guys told me later they had worn clear out. I then used them for years with just working on them. I was glad to get it to work with. Had labor but not a lot of money then.
