I got a catalog today from E & R eed Co, Monroe Ind. It has OP corn seed.
50# at $1 15lb, 25lbs, $1 35lb, 5# $1 65 lb.

The corn is a doz varities of OP corn seed. They call them Roasting Ear Corn, But, there the same varities that all the old timers planted for seed.

I imagine that they are calling them roasting ears like as when I was a kid, we got our sweet corn out of the corn field.

They also have plastic planter plates for at least IHC and JD, and all the other major players. AC takes an adapter that they have also.. They have them for corn milo, beans and sunflower seed.

Check on ebay they have all kinds of planter plates for sale. Just have to know what the seed corn company has the seed sized at and what the number is to get the right plates. Bandit

That is just the next town over from where I live. Lots of Amish over in that area . Probably an Amish owned buisness if they are selling the old non RR seed.

Its always neat in the fall to see the corn shocks out in the fields around there and see them out plowing with horses.

I personally think you are better off buying new plates. I bought some plastic plates off of eBay and they were shot. There is a hole visible in the ring only if the plastic has worn down. These were worn and then some. Seller said "Oh well I didn't know but TS." I got another set that must've been kept where the sun shone on them a lot, because they were very brittle and broke on the way here. Seller claims UPS did it, but I doubt it. Got money back for them anyway.
