Slightly worn plow parts.....

I guess these parts may have needed changing a while ago. The end of the landside is sharp enough to shave with. Now, if I could only get the mirror polish back on the moldboard to shave in. Got stuck getting a tree & doing the general family 'n' holiday thing, so I haven't been back out there. I really wish we could observe Christmas, February would do ok in my book.

Those shares have plenty of life left- You should've seen the ones I replaced on our 546 this fall. In dry ground, they never would have made it but we got rain (and lots of it) so it helped get a few more acrws out of them.....

If I think of it, I'll snap a picture of the ones I took off compared to a new one.

I always hated to have to deal with Share Bolts that were worn off from the bottom-side..!!

That plow is going to do a great job for many years now..!

At least you still had landsides left! I redid an IH 60 trailer plow over the summer and had to rebuild two of the frogs quite a bit from where the landsides had once been.

I put a couple of photos on the implement photo site of the finished project.

Down where I live by Milwaukee It's all rocks and clay so I wind up changing a share afor year it seems. Even with rock shares I seem to break the nose off.

Where did you find your replacement parts. I have a plowmaster that I'm trying to find molboards and shins for. The Agco dealers in my area no longer carry plow parts.

Plowmaster? Oliver? Most of those had 219 bottoms which are NLA, replaced by the 419. Some parts aftermarket for the 419, and they swap for a 219. I've seen some with a mix of 419 and 619 parts. 619's are probably the MOST common plow bottom ever made, used by Oliver, MM, Ford, CASE, and several others.

GOOD NEWS!! Hang in there .Some of those older plow wear parts will be available in middle -late 2013. I will post & let everyone know. In about 2 weeks send me a email with the numbers you are looking for. 219, 225, 234, 419,619. 7488,7490 the dies are saved. Earl
