Not sure how you are driving it but if it is from a 540 rpm PTO you will need a 22 GPM pump to achieve the proper flow to spin it up to PTO speed. I converted a 3ph snow blower to mount on the front of my Kubota and it works fine but you need 1" hydraulic hoses to handle the flow at full RPM'S. That's just my opinion, maybe someone else with more expertise can add to it.

Skidloaders don't have a pto- but often have an auxilary hyd remote to run brooms, brush cutters, snow blowers, etc., using a hyd motor. I've seen some brush cutters that sell for about 6 grand. I bought a snow blower last year, and it took a awhile to find a used one with a motor that matched the output of my existing skidloader.

Thanks, Phil.
The loader is rated 20-25 gph @ 3000psi, and a 1500 lb lift, so I'm not too concerned on that front. I found an "ambusher" for rent that's rated for an equivalent Bobcat ( low- flow, 40 hp) so I'm gonna invest a hundred bucks in product research before I start fabbin'.
My biggest worry is flats from running my new pnuematic tires over all those ponty little stumps!

Take your hyd specs over to, and you will be able to shop for a hyd motor, that meets them. My ASV RC30 is 10 gpm, and 3000psi, the motor I got, used from them is still running good. They have a good technical service department, and can help you figure out what you will need, even if you don't end up buying from them. I used 1/4" plate, for my deck, and built it so I can't get the blades and stump jumper lower than 3-4" from the ground. Make sure all the mechanicals in your donor mower are good, I later had to replace the stump jumper and blade pins.

Boy, was I optimistic!
Just checked the manual--15.5GPH @ 1000psi. Still enough, but not with the motor I have. Surplus center, here I come.

Think you mean GPM not GPH.
