John Deere 1064 running gear

I just purchased a John Deere 1064 running gear. If I completely restore it what will it be worth? Thanks.

They are pretty good running gear but the value is falling on the old light JD running gears. That JD 1064 is not heavy enought for a very big gravity box. Also the lack of an extension tongue hurts them too. I saw a real clean JD 1065 sell last week. It only brought $400 with almost new flotation tires.

Location makes a difference. 'Here' a lot of hay is made in small squares, so people buy them to put thrower racks on. We are also not far from Amish and Old-order Mennonite farmers in PA, and they will buy them and convert to steel wheels for their small gravity boxes and flat racks. $1000 for a straight one with nice tires 'here'.

You need to head over to Lancater county PA as you can buy brand new wagon running gears made by the Amish and Mennonites for less than $1000.Several shops over there make some nice wagons, we have 6 made by Wenger manufacturing.

People like green and yellow paint you know . . . . I haven't seen any new gears from any brand advertized for less than $1100 lately.
